Visa Options for Partner and Family Members

Australian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their partners for migration to Australia. To be eligible, you must be married, in a de facto relationship for over 12 months, in a registered relationship, or engaged.

Parents with at least half of their children living permanently in Australia may be eligible for a parent visa that grants permanent residence. Parents over a certain age may apply for an Aged Parent visa, allowing them to stay in Australia on a bridging visa during processing.

Be married, engaged, or in a relationship living together for over 12 months. Not live separately on a permanent basis. Provide proof of living together within the last year.

The Immigration Office is dedicated to reuniting families. We understand the urgency of having your family members join you as quickly as possible. Our expertise in family migration ensures a fast and accurate selection of the most suitable visa option, along with full support throughout the application process.

In some cases, you may directly qualify for Permanent Residence without needing to go through a temporary Spouse Visa. We keep up-to-date with all changes in the process to provide you with the best advice.
